Azeez is a Health, Safety, and Risk Management Professional with over twenty years of experience in Oil and Gas (upstream, midstream, and downstream), Manufacturing, Mining, Municipality, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industries. He has held various strategic, technical, operational, and leadership positions in many multi-national, national, and private companies in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Azeez holds a Master of Science (MSc.) Degree (with Distinction) in Health, Risk, and Safety Management from Robert Gordon University, UK, a Graduateship Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering from The Institution of Fire Engineers, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Economics from Delta State University, Nigeria. Azeez is a Charter Member of IOSH UK and a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management, UK. He holds the CSP, SMS, CRSP, and CHSC professional certifications from the American Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the Canadian Board of Certified Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP). He belongs to many professional organizations in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Nigeria.
His doctoral research topic is “Evaluating the psychological safety of African immigrant workers in the public service, and its impacts on their safety performance and total well-being”.
