Oct. 2025. HCIS awarded the Open Learning WV Challenge Grant to advance AI literacy through the Personal AI Teaching Assistant (PAITA) project. The initiative will develop open-access AI learning modules and a student-authored assignment bank to support affordable, high-quality education across West Virginia. (PI: Ryu).
Sep. 2025. Prof. Ryu was selected as a First-Generation Faculty Champion (Mentor) under the WV Higher Education Policy Commission initiative, recognizing his role in supporting and mentoring first-generation college students through his inspiring educational journey.
